Rooms At The Inn

There are many choices for a Colorado Springs area bed and breakfast, but you will find magic at this Manitou Springs hideaway.

Enter the cozy GARDEN COTTAGE by way of its own private patio behind the Inn. Sleep peacefully on the generous featherbed in a bedroom of white wicker. Open the windows to enjoy the fresh mountain air. Shower while enjoying the sunshine or moonbeams through the skylight. Relax on the rocking chairs or daybed in the air-conditioned living room, and when it's chilly, cuddle up by the gas log fireplace.

In the kitchen, make a cup of freshly ground coffee, tea, or cocoa that is provided for you. The 1930's Norge refrigerator keeps your travel snacks or sandwich fixings cold, but there is no cooking...after all, you're on vacation. Unwind on the patio gliders and reflect on your day of Colorado adventure. The COTTAGE...a perfect place to return.

Our bed and breakfast is conveniently located for Colorado Springs area lodging. There are four air-conditioned bedrooms on the second floor of the Inn's main house with an entrance from the upper garden and the on-site parking area on the same level. Each room accommodates a maximum of two people and boasts an original double bedstead from the Inn's Victorian past as the Sunburst Boarding House. The linens in the rooms are hand-pressed, and unscented products are used to be kind to the environment. There are always colorful flowers for you to enjoy in your room and, in season, they will be fresh from our garden. Welcoming treats will whet your appetite for the breakfasts to come!

Isn't it romantic! The FLORAL ROOM...where you can watch the twinkling stars and the moon through the skylight or wake to the Colorado blue skies as you lie in bed. The 1920's metal bedstead still has flowers painted on the head and footboard. Look out over the backyard hidden garden while watching a variety of songbirds enjoying the birdhouses and feeders, and the antics of the squirrels, deer, foxes, and bears! Original hardwood floors, an antique vanity with mirror, steamer trunk, and a private bathroom featuring a claw-foot bathtub (with shower)...are all reminiscent of the Inn's Victorian origins. (Don't forget to check out the original Hobbit closet!)

Always wanted a room with a view? Then gaze out the windows of the ARTIST'S ROOM...it's a view that has inspired many guests and local artists to paint the beauty of the Pikes Peak foothills and architecture of the Historic District of Manitou Springs. This room breathes sunlight! Its charm is revealed in its corner pedestal sink and mirror...the hand-crafted tiled shower in the private bathroom...and the cozy nook perfect for reading, sitting, or just dreaming.

The warm wood tones of the OAK ROOM are reflected in the antique oak rocking chair, washstand table and mirror, and original framed artwork. The original 1920's brass bedstead is tucked under a slanting eave, which adds a snug feeling to this room. Enjoy some quiet moments in the rocking chair looking out a window at the Victorian homes on the residential street. This room is unique in that its private bathroom is detached (several steps across the hall) and offers a full bath with a skylight over the tub.

For guests traveling together who require separate beds, we also have two side-by-side rooms that share a detached full bathroom.

"The rooms were immaculately clean and comfortable...the location so very special and the accommodation first class but the two ladies, Sharon and Wendy, are the magical asset."
